Getting to Know Cellular Sales – Kelly Hanson – Virginia

Posted on 06. Apr, 2011 by Scott Sutton in Getting to Know Cellular Sales

How long have you worked with Cellular Sales? Since May 2009.

What is your title? Corporate Recruiter for Virginia Market.

What is it your role within Cellular Sales? I am responsible for prospecting and finding partners and educating them about Cellular Sales. I also do phone interviews, face to face interviews, check on background references, and networking.  Basically I do the full cycle of recruiting. I am the first face of Cellular Sales and explain how we are different and how we operate as a company.

Please tell me about your most rewarding or satisfying experience, your proudest moment, since you joined the company. The most rewarding and satisfying experience I have is when someone joins Cellular Sales and they personally come back to thank me for bringing them on board. It’s such a great feeling to find the right place for the right person.

What makes Cellular Sales such a special company to work with? It’s the people that are here. Everybody is dynamic and it is a team oriented group. Cellular Sales wants to find your strengths and make sure you shine. You are an asset to the Cellular Sales and they recognize you and they set you up for success. Also, the company and its growth is special, it’s very exciting time!

What’s different about it from other companies? Our extreme desire for personalized customer service really makes us different!

What do you enjoy most about working with Cellular Sales? The company’s ideals and values align with what I believe in. It is a great work atmosphere and it is what I need in my life.  Not to mention, it’s fun!

Are there any obstacles you face at work? It can be an obstacle finding the right people with the right mentality because they don’t always understand how we are different, how we work and operate. Sometimes it can be hard to get somebody to see the opportunity and potential with Cellular Sales.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? The most unusual job I’ve had was being a greeter at Cellular Sales. Signing people in and standing in one place was hard for me because it was hard to stand still. I really wanted to be more involved with the inner workings of the company so I wasn’t the best fit for a greeter, but it was a great start because I was able to move into my current position.

Do you have a funny story about working at Cellular Sales? I was attending a job fair that was for the unemployed and some of the attendees weren’t exactly what I was looking for. There was one guy with a beer in hand. I saw other attendees wearing holey sweats and holding children on their hips during their job interviews.

Are you married? Yes.

Do you have kids? 8 month old daughter named Ella.

What do you enjoy doing with your family? We like going to the park and in this summer we will be on the boat every possible minute.

What are your hobbies? I love waterskiing, camping and just anything with my family.

If a cell phone was named after you, what would it be called? Quirky

If you were stuck on a desert island, what three things would you have to have with you? My family, French fries and my golden retriever.

And finally… Droid or iPhone? Droid

Cellular Sales, Verizon Wireless Premium RetailerCellular Sales recently got some press in Virginia covering our growth in the area.  “It feels good to be offering opportunities to people looking for work,” says Jay Vaiksnoras, Regional Director of Cellular Sales’ Virginia markets.  “It’s a great time to be expanding.  There are a lot of great folks out there looking for an opportunity like Cellular Sales can offer.”

Cellular Sales, the nation’s leading Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer, is investing approximately $1 million throughout the rest of the year, as it adds locations in Ashland, Dumfries, and Fredericksburg.  If you know someone who lives in Virginia who has experience in sales and a servant’s heart, please refer them to CellularSales.com/opportunity to learn more.

Cellular Sales: Eight New Verizon Retailer Locations In The Past Month

Posted on 09. Jul, 2010 by Jay Witherspoon in Company News

Rendering, Front Royal, VACellular Sales continues to defy common sense and the laws of people needing sleep to survive.  In the past month, we’ve opened 8 new locations, and there are dozens more leases pending approvals.  Verizon likes us.  Customers love us.  In technical industry terms, we “got it going on.”  Jose Ordonez, Regional Director for Cellular Sales, said, “It is our special approach to retailing that has taken us from one location in Knoxville to hundreds nationwide.”

I’d like, as Director of Advertising, to claim that it is my advertising prowess that has catapulted the company to its stellar performance.  Alas, if you read this blog, you know that’s probably not the case.  The true reason for our success is our people.

So cheers to everyone who continues to make Cellular Sales a great company to work for and with!

Our newest locations are listed below:

ELECTRIC ROAD – Roanoke, VA
VERSAILLES – Versailles, KY
FRONT ROYAL – Front Royal, VA
ST JOSEPH – St Joseph, MO
JACKSBORO – Jacksboro, TN
KINGSTON MALL – Kingston, NY
NIPPERS CORNER – Nashville, TN
MOUNT PLEASANT – Mount Pleasant, SC

Cellular Sales is the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer.  And still growin’.  Alec Rankine, Regional Director for Cellular Sales, noted, “Each store opening is a testimonial to how great our customer’s experiences are.”

Cell Phones On A Stick. Cellular Sales Does Events.

Posted on 30. Apr, 2010 by Jay Witherspoon in Uncategorized

I think I’ll take a moment and toot our events horn.  We have the wireless industry’s most beautiful mobile showrooms.  See one for yourself in the picture below. We use these showrooms to take special deals and that trademark Cellular Sales customer service to State Fairs and all types of other events. Our marketing data suggests that individuals who have eaten two or more items “on a stick” are statistically more likely to buy a new phone than those who have a low “on a stick” intake.  And funnel cake never hurt a phone sale, either.

Here are a handful of the larger events we’re participating in soon:

Mayfest
April 30 – May 2
Houston, TX

GA State Fair
April 29 – May 9
Macon, GA

Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival
April 23 – May 2
Winchester – Frederick County, VA

Drift Atlanta
May 7-8
Braselton, GA

Got To Be NC Festival
May 21-23
Raleigh, NC

Taste of Addison
