Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon Wireless premium retailer, opens five new stores in the past two weeks giving Cellular Sales over 400 retail locations.
Chris Keen, a Regional Director for Cellular Sales, says that, “Cellular Sales has grown rapidly because our sales consultants know the products and service plans backwards and forwards. Our main focus is providing excellent customer service to each and every customer who walks in our doors.” Cellular Sales’ innovative approach to customer service is at the core of its approach to retailing. Dane Scism, founder and CEO of Cellular Sales says that, “We strive to treat every one of our customers as if they are our only customer, and we always place a great emphasis on quality customer communication.”
This growth hasn’t gone unnoticed. Cellular Sales has been named one of the nation’s fastest growing retail companies byInc. Magazine for the past three years in a row due its astounding growth. These stores are located in Tampa, Fla., Margate, Fla., Parkville, Md., Chattanooga, Tenn., Concord, N.C., Charlotte, N.C., Mandeville, La. and Marrero, La. Cellular Sales Regional Directors Ari Mendlovitz and Mike Baker have done something pretty darn cool, and they’ve partnered their locations with the North Carolina and South Carolina Chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
At all their locations, wristbands will be available for $5 with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish. Customers may also text the keyword SCWISH to 90999 in South Carolina or WISH to 27722 in North Carolina to make a one-time donation of $5 to help grant a wish for a deserving child in their local area.
Ari and Mike, we’re proud of you! Here’s a press release with more details.
In other news, for a Friday treat, I want to share a story on Mashable.com about the Old Spice “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” advertising and social media campaign. Hi-larious.

I think I’ll take a moment and toot our events horn. We have the wireless industry’s most beautiful mobile showrooms. See one for yourself in the picture below. We use these showrooms to take special deals and that trademark Cellular Sales customer service to State Fairs and all types of other events. Our marketing data suggests that individuals who have eaten two or more items “on a stick” are statistically more likely to buy a new phone than those who have a low “on a stick” intake. And funnel cake never hurt a phone sale, either.

Our new location in Thomasville, North Carolina got some love from the Mayor of Thomasville this week. We have the habit of going into a town, taking a retail space, and making it beautiful! The city of Thomasville was particularly helpful with expediting the permitting that can often bog down the opening of a new location.
An article in the Thomasville Times describes the warm welcome the store has received in Thomasville, and the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Mayor. Cellular Sales renovated an abandoned gas station and turned it into a beautiful location that has been so busy they’re actually adding another workstation just a month after opening.
Thomasville is appreciative of the upgrade. Below is a picture from the printed article of our two North Carolina Regional Directors, Don White and Scott Love, holding a graphic showing the location before and after Cellular Sales came to town.
Don White was quoted as saying “This is the first time any mayor has ever called us and wanted to have a ribbon cutting.” But hopefully it’s not the last!
We’re happy to be in Thomasville!
